By putting all prophecy together we get a clear picture. Matthew 24:7-21;
"Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and there shall be famines and pestilences,
and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginnings of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake.
And then shall many be offended (have cause to sin; Matt 18:6-9), and shall betray one another,
and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many.
And because lawlessness shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold. (2 Peter 2:3, 3:3,15-16)
But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.
And this good news of the kingdom {Matt 5 through 7. Luke 6:27-49. 2 John 1:9}
shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come;
When ye therefore see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
stand in the holy place { Mark 13:14 Daniel 11:31 Ezekiel 44:7 Jeremiah 51:51 Luke 21:20 }
Then let them which be in Ju-dae'-a flee into the mountains: {Luke 21:20-21. And flee Babylon Rev 18:4)
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes [Remember Lot's wife. Luke 17:32]
... pray that your flight be not in the winter.. for then shall be great tribulation"

Matthew 24:29-31; (Matthew 24:29-31 is in bold)
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened.. (Joel 2:31 Ezekiel 32:7}
{"the sun became black as sackcloth and the moon as blood" Rev. 6:12}
and the stars shall fall from the firmament.. (Daniel 8:10 Rev. 6:13)
{"and the stars of the sky fell unto the earth" Rev. 6:13}
then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in the sky; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn
{"[On the day of the Lord] they shall go into.. the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord" Isaiah 2:19}
{"And the kings of the earth, and [all people] hid themselves in the caves.."  Rev 6:15}
{ Revelation 6:12-17 is clearly describing the day of the Lord. Revelation 5 and 6 tell a complete story.
 Then the story is told again, repeatedly, with different details and using different visions.
   (Ephesians 2:1-6, Rev 9:11, 11:7, 17:8) All prophecy matches up. Daniel's different visions also tell
the same story repeatedly, (2:44, 7:27-28, 8:25-26) ending with details of the end of the same story!}
and they (all the tribes of the earth) shall see (shall see) the Son of man coming in the clouds of the
sky with power and great glory (Ezekiel 37:10 Jude 1:14 Rev 19:14)
{"and said unto the rocks, fall on us and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne,
and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of His wrath has come.." Rev 6:16-17}
And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet (trumpet 1 Corin. 15:51-58 1 Thess. 4:16)
and they shall gather together his chosen ones from the four winds (Ezek 37:9 resurrections: 'the four
winds') (and) from one end of heaven to the other."

"Two shall be in the field; the one taken, the other left. And they answered and said, (left) Where Lord?
And He said; Wherever the body is, there will the vultures be gathered together." Luke 17:33-37 Matt
 24:40-44 Matthew 24:28 "Wherever the body is, there will the vultures be gathered together."

Rev. 19:7-21 "the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready" {Matt 25:1-13}
"I saw an angel, standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in
the midst of the firmament, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God."
"And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against
Him that sat on the horse and against His army." "And the beast was taken, and the false prophet.. these
both were cast alive into a lake of fire.. And the rest were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the
horse, which sword proceeded from His mouth, {Isaiah 9:4-7, 30:30-31, 31:8-9 -> Micah 5:2-5 < Rev 2:16}

For; "Wherever the body is, there will the vultures be gathered together." All prophecy matches.
